Love this cutting system! Have 2 German Shepherd helpers, and large crates for them! The mat fits well on the top of the crate, making an extra cutting area. Love the magnet system, and rulers that don’t move!
I rarely write reviews but in this case, I have to! I LOVE this product. It has cut my prep time in HALF when I make a garment. No pinning, no scissors. I just lay out my pattern, secure with the magnets and zip a long with my rotary cutter. Pinning and using scissors would many times distort the measurements when cutting. I have precise pieces with the Sewtites. The magnets hold the pattern but still allow me to mark darts and lines when I need to. The learning curve in actually using the magnets and the magnetic rulers was minimal. Within one pattern cutting, I got the feel for the magnets and rulers (popping them up, setting aside, maneuvering around). For the large ruler, getting under it to pop it up was at first an issue. I attached my hardware store suction shower handle and all I have to do is tilt the ruler to break the hold and move it to a new location with the handle. I also quilt and the fabric stays put when I need to cut tiny pieces. It even helps steady my Stripology rulers when I cut multiple layers.
I marveled at the engineering and use of this new method to cut fabric with assurance that the magnets working with the mat would hold a piece of fabric in place quite nicely. Cutting dressmakers silk is never easy but the magnets held the fabric securely for cutting. I showed my friend who is a pastel artist and a sometime quilter my new mat and she immediately said she needed to have that mat as it would be very useful cutting paper for her art projects. I'm absolutely in love with my new cutting mat system. First, the size is generous and makes cutting large fabric easy. The magnetic feature is so good, and has made cutting precisely easier and more fun. I seriously enjoy cutting fabric in a way I never did before. While I use the magnetic rulers, I have no problem using my favorite bloc lock/other sized rulers with a magnet.

Love my SewTites products!! I may have a few and was lucky enough to win from SewTites the expanded cutting system (24”x42” magnetic mat, 8.5”x24” rulers and more booster magnets). These now join my 11” magnetic rotating mat (that has a smooth and quick rotation!) , 20”x24” magnetic mat, 6.5”x24” and 6.5 square rulers and many SewTites minis and dots. Customer service is quick and friendly! Product quality is excellent ! I’m an avid quilter and garment maker. With the addition of the expanded cutting system, I really looking forward to being able to maximize the magnetic cutting area for easily cutting out pattern pieces. Short review: excellent products and customer service!

I have been sewing and embroidering for many years and being left-handed have had to deal with everything in this right-handed world from scissors to rulers. The new SewTites left-handed cutting map has made a huge difference. It's easy to read the measurements and the magnetic feature is a dream come true. I use the magnetic feature not only to hold patterns down or fabric when I'm cutting, but also to load stabilizer and fabric onto my magnetic embroidery hoops. It's a game changer for me. I wish they'd designed it years ago!

Given how much garment sewing I have been doing from baby clothes to things for myself having more cutting room has been SUCH a gift to myself. Add to that being able to secure my patterns with the magnets.. perfection!

Love this system. I had already purchased the smaller mat sometime ago and loved it - I was excited to see that the larger mat would be available in 2025. Originally I only wanted the larger mat - but upon reflection decided to purchase the whole system. By the time I decided my local quilting store here in Calgary , Canada was sold out of the right hand mat. Bummer - so I decided to order from the website- I was a bit nervous about duties/fee etc but it was shipped and delivered promptly. Great service and and excellent cutting system!! Highly Recommend! This was definitely a splurge. I haven’t had a chance to use it much, but I already love it and am looking forward to having more time to sew eventually. I have a Husky adjustable height work table. This large mat covers most of the table top. I’m tall, so being able to stand on a heavy-duty anti-fatigue mat, raise the table about waist high, and be able to cut makes a HUGE difference in comfort while I’m cutting. I cut a lot of denim yesterday and the big mat and big rulers worked so much better than a regular cutting mat. I am using the mat right now to glue baste denim to zippers for throw pillow covers. It’s great to be able to “tack” the zippers to the mat, glue baste a strip to one side of the zipper, and tack that to the mat until it dries. No pins and there’s pressure on the glued strip so that it stays solid. This cost a lot but I hope to be sewing for many years. I can already see how having this mat on my work table is going to make cutting tasks so much easier.
I use one myself and gave the other to my son. We both appreciate that the magnets hold our work steady.
I am loving my new sewtites cutting system. I have been using it for about a month now and it has made a difference in my cutting and trimming accuracy. I especially love it for squaring up blocks and block pieces. It took a bit to get used to the placement of the magnetic rulers and making slight adjustments with them but after using a few times all is well. I also love that the magnets help hold other templates and rulers in place for trimming. I hope you continue to make other magnetic rules to go with the system.
Such a great cutting mat - ruler system. I no longer have wiggling cuts with my fabric.
This has not worked for me and my quilting style. May be a great product for pattern sewing!
This magnetic system - magnetic quilt ruler plus magnetic mat - securely holds my fabric in place while I am cutting it. No slipping of the cutting blade, no partial cuts, no ruined fabric pieces. This is what I have been looking for! PF
I love the large cutting system. The magnetic rulers are a game changer for fussy cutting and helping kids learn to sew. Especially love that the company is in my community!!
I love my new cutting mat, ruler, and magnets. I don’t know what I did without them.
I haven't been able to use my new 24 x 42 mat because it arrived just before we left for a 6-week trip but I know I will love it because I love the small rotating mat that I have used. These mats are sturdy and double-sided. One caution on the magnets--they fall out easily from the bottom of the ruler so be careful when you open the box and during use.

No more wiggling cuts for me! I absolutely love my new cutting system. The larger size makes it great to cut longer strips of fabric. The magnetic rulers are a joy to use. They stay in place and don't slip. It's also great when using paper patterns. I no longer use pins to keep the pattern with my fabric. The magnetic boosters keep my pattern and fabric stable for cutting. I'll never go back to a regular mat! Great job Sew Tites!
