Disclaimer: I have been actively sewing and quilting for about 5 years now. Not an expert by any means, but know enough to be dangerous. My focus is on improv piecing and garment making. I acquired a SewTites cutting mat system with booster magnets and a couple of rulers. First impression: The overall quality of the cutting Matt is very good. I like the attention to detail on the hash marks, and the contrasted sides make it easy to accommodate. How the rulers align visually is remarkably intuitive. Using the ruler on the board took maybe 15 seconds to get accustomed to how things “glide”, but soon found that I have much more control over alignment, micro-adjustments, and ultimate cutting. On improv piecing, I found that the cutting Matt worked very well. The booster magnets worked as advertised in securing my fabric to the cutting mat, and the hash marks are very easy to read. Straight cuts was a breeze to accomplish - 5 stars on this front. Curved cuts worked well when I used the boosters with my existing French ruler, though I did need to fiddle with it a bit. On garment making, the system worked pretty good. I usually project my patterns unto the cutting mat so keeping fabric in one place is important. I was able to use the booster magnets to secure the fabric, but still needed to use my larger glass weights to keep things in place. I think if SewTites had rulers with a French curve, I could imaging an easier process. Overall, extremely satisfied with the product. SewTites solved some pain points and I am grateful. I hope they continue to innovate and provide additional features to the garment making world. The customer support and engagement is outstanding. They clearly have a passion on providing better sewing solutions via magnets. My barrage of questions where answered in a timely response I do recommend this product as I have not seen anything better on the market, and do believe that this is a game changer.

I love the strength of the sew tites. They work great at helping to hold down my fabric tight on my magnetic hoops.
I've been using the various sizes for sometime. But, they weren't strong enough for the bag materials I sew. These will!
